title = "Structural behavior of coal obtained from Kraft lignin at
different carbonizing rates",

abstract = "The present concern with the environment has aroused the interest
in improving the use of biomass. The lignin is a macromolecule
that is present on plants cell walls, available in large
quantities in industries that produce paper and cellulose, as a
secondary product. As a molecule that is rich in aromatic rings,
we can see a growing interest in utilizing its chemical
characteristics for more noble purposes, as getting activated
charcoal in addition to simple energy production through direct
combustion1 . The limpid structure of coal features a reduced
presence of graphitic regions, surrounded by extensive amorphous
regions that mark the turbostratic structure (mid structure
between graphitic and amorphous ones) 2 . Therefore, the goal of
this study is to assess the influence of the heat treatment time
on carbonization in the structural planning of coal obtained from
Kraft lignin.",
